Doris Vervuurt and Lieke van der Vegt bring the conversation about life after death to the theatre.
What comes after death? Or what doesn’t? Theatre makers Doris Vervuurt and Lieke van der Vegt bring the conversation about life after death to the theatre. With their performance Hiernamaals (Hereafter), they take you on a journey through a series of encounters, exchanging different perspectives, truths and imaginations.
Today, we have access to more and more perspectives on big themes such as death and what happens to us afterwards. Yet we hardly seem to talk about this with each other in everyday life. Does a sober view of the here and now prevail over the fantasy of what might come after? Let’s find out together on Sunday 30 November in the Amstelkerk.
This program is part of the Dood Gaan We Allemaal Church
Dood Gaan We Allemaal is a platform dedicated to death, grief, and farewells.
Through events and content, we invite visitors to reflect on their own mortality and
open meaningful conversations about loss and life. With openness, curiosity,
vulnerability, a touch of dark humor, and outstanding music, we demonstrate that
facing death can help you engage more deeply with life itself.
