Marta Atcher Soler (violin) Laia Terré (cello) Antoine Chabot-Couture (lute) & Laurene Patard-Moreau (violin)
I Cucchiai is a baroque ensemble based in Amsterdam. It was founded in 2022 when the violinists Marta Atcher Soler, Laurène Patard-Moreau, and the cellist Laia Terré started their master’s degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Netherlands). In 2023 a new member took part in the adventure, the lutenist Antoine Chabot-Couture.
Coming from different horizons (Catalunya, Québec and France), the ensemble tries to bring its cultural heritage to the baroque repertoire. They focus especially on Italian music from the 17th and 18th centuries (Corelli, Vivaldi, Castello, Merula). They also like to inspire themselves with traditional music and experiment with others instruments such as percussions or voice.
They regularly take lessons with their mentor, Emmanuel Resche-Caserta in Amsterdam, where they have given some concerts in the Conservatory and outside.
They strongly believe that they all have something to learn from each other and they try to create a cohesive dynamic, musically and humanly.
